Assistant Company Secretary sought for prestigious International Law Firm

The Firm

Our client, a highly prestigious International Law Firm, is seeking to employ a candidate with considerable company secretarial experience on a Permanent contract.

The Role

The role will involve supporting the Assistant Company Secretary and the Company Secretary on a number of firm-wide, internal duties, including but not limited to:

  • Executive support for the operation and processes of the comapny secretarial board – scheduling meetings, distributing papers and minutes
  • Development and maintenance of partner-only Intranet site with support secretaries
  • Development of the team's systems and processes
  • New partners and partner retirements – execution of formal processes and preparation of documentation
  • Support for the company secretarial function for the in-house companies
  • Support the process and formal due diligence for the partner promotions
  • Maintain and the develop the planning calendar for the Executive Support Team
  • Ad hoc projects to support the business of the firm
  • Proactively seek to improve processes and practically solve problems as they arise

The Requirements

The ideal candidate will have some (if not all) of the following characteristics and skills:

  • University Degree (strong academics) and/or Chartered Secretary qualification
  • Tech savviness / strong IT skills (highly favorable)
  • High level of discretion / professionalism
  • Ability to team lead - day to day leading of the two Secretaries
  • Ability to use initiative - problem-solver
  • Detailed / methodical / organised nature
